James Bothwell is the President and Founder of Bothwell Financial Market and Regulatory Strategies LLC. From 2009 – 2011, Bothwell was a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council at Financial Accounting Standards Boards. Between 1997-2002, Bothwell served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Federal Housing Finance Board. Bothwell served as Chief Economist and Director of Financial Institutions & Markets Issues at U.S. General Accounting Office for 20 years, from 1977-1997. Bothwell completed both his bachelor and doctorate degrees in Economics at the University of California Berkeley.
